Lite Links – August 10, 2017

For your lite adventuring enjoyment, here are some links I’ve wrangled up over the last week that make for some interesting weekend reading:

Eight Things You Can Live Without – by Lindsay Schauer

This is one of my overall favorite reads from the last several years.  It’s so well written.  Though the article doesn’t specifically have to do with packing tips or travel, the minimalist concepts discussed by the author can be applied toward a wide range of human activities, including traveling around the world with a small bag.  Makes me want to declutter just thinking about it.

Unusually Popular Summer Travel Spots for Each State

An interesting piece I came across while browsing the New York Times.  Apparently, we’re big Panama fans here in the south.

Dirty Thirty Challenge – by Diane Kuca

Sometimes you have to unload quite a bit more than just some unnecessary clothes to lighten your load and live free.  Diane’s a great friend of ours; read about her personal journey here.

How a Surge in Visitors is Overwhelming America’s National Parks

I’ve definitely noticed the larger crowds at some of the most popular national parks compared to when I visited them 10+ years ago.  I’m happy to read that they’re working on some ideas to deal with the overcrowding.

Happy reading, and have a great weekend!
